Safeguarding pet health by providing superior nutritional standards

A series of research experiments were carried out at the University of Illinois, Division of Nutritional Sciences, USA to assess the impact of including HP 300 in pet diets.

Palatability studies

Dogs were given the choice between kibble with 0% HP 300 and 12% HP 300. The 12% HP 300 diet increased the average consumption of kibble and was the preferred choice among the dogs in the study (Figure 1).

Total tract digestibility

Apparent total tract digestibility was determined for varying rates of HP 300 inclusion. Replacing 4-8% of poultry by-product with HP 300 was shown to have an increase in total tract digestibility.

Fecal output and consistency

Fecal output and consistency were monitored with increasing inclusion levels of HP 300. Fecal scores indicate that consistency of feces was maintained with all inclusion levels.

Hamlet Protein’s patented bioconversion process creates a soy-based protein ingredient that helps to build a solid foundation through nutrition to support the health and well-being of pets through various life stages. By removing anti-nutritional factors, we provide a high-quality ingredient that safeguards pet health.

Providing the right nutrition in the first life stage determines the overall lifetime performance of the animal. Our soy-based specialty ingredients improve health, welfare and performance of young animals. That is how we deliver a strong return on investment to producers around the world.
